Pickens County E9-1-1 answers emergency and non-emergency calls for the citizens and guests of Pickens County, consisting of a population of around 19,500 people. The 9-1-1 center has two (2) telecommunicators (also known as dispatchers) on each shift, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Our center is equipped in technology allowing our dispatchers to coordinate and dispatch emergency services in a fast, efficient and professional way that benefits the citizens of Pickens County.


ADDRESSING

Issuing addresses is one of the single most important jobs that we do. Without an accurate address, it is difficult to find your home or business during an emergency. The E9-1-1 office is responsible for maintaining the database.
